Mays Landing, NJ — The campaign of Bayly Winder for Congress today announced the endorsement of Ambassador Samantha Power, the highest-profile endorsement of the race, underscoring Winder’s strong national security credentials and commitment to public service.

Power served as the 28th United States Ambassador to the United Nations, a Cabinet-level position under President Barack Obama, and most recently as Administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development under President Joe Biden.

Ambassador Power said Winder represents the kind of leadership the moment demands.

“We need a new generation of leaders willing to stand up to a MAGA movement that is taking America down a very dark path,” said Ambassador Power. “I have worked closely with Bayly and seen him consistently put service above self. He understands what is at stake this year for our values and our interests, and he has the humility to listen to the people of New Jersey’s 2nd district, as well as the courage to lead in this moment.”

“Ambassador Power has dedicated her life to serving this country with courage, integrity, and moral clarity,” said Winder. “It was a privilege to serve as an Advisor on her team at USAID prior to Elon Musk & DOGE unconstitutionally dismantling the agency. At a time when Donald Trump and his yes-man Jeff Van Drew are creating enormous damage, including dragging us into a reckless war with Iran, we need more leaders who stand up for democracy, human dignity, and the truth.”

Power’s endorsement marks the third national endorsement of Winder’s campaign, following his backing from Foreign Policy for America and the Alliance 4 American Leadership. Winder has also earned the support of respected local leaders, including former New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Doug Fisher, former Assemblyman Ed Salmon, and numerous elected officials across Atlantic County such as Egg Harbor City Council President Joseph Kuehner.

With this endorsement, Winder’s campaign continues to build momentum as a reform-minded challenge to Congressman Jeff Van Drew, focused on affordability and restoring integrity to public service.
